So good. Great teaching Pastor. I recently preached Matthew 6. It's a huge chunk for one message, since I have a serious on the Lord's Prayer alone. It was assigned me as part of a series on The Sermon on the Mount in the church that I am part of. They've asked me to join the teaching and preaching team. I focused on the three When's. I called the message "When, Not If". When you give. When you pray. When you fast.

Anyhow.....I made it my purpose several years ago to pray the Lord's Prayer each and every day before I stand up out of bed. It has transformed my prayer life. I have daily journaled my prayers and bible study for years. But this focus on Jesus prayer has really really impacted my life.

Thanks for another great word.

Thanks for reading, pastor. The Lord's Prayer has also become more and more precious to me the more days I pray it. Which is often the opposite of what many Christians will think will happen. Blessings.

This is a great way to look at the Lord’s Prayer. Thank you for the reflection. It also brings to mind the promise that a Christian will never be alone. Once the Holy Spirit moves in all our conversations with God will consist of at least three people. Ourselves, the Holy Spirit, and whoever we speak with.

It's interesting how culture plays a huge roll in how we operate and view the body of Christ. Here in Japan I see a 3 way mix of living for Christ. There is the independent western way "my Father in Heaven". The as a unite but timid Japanese way "Your Father in Heaven". And how the Bible tells us to go and create disciples and die to ourselves daily "Our Father in Heaven". Thank you for the thought provoking read.

Great stuff Joseph. I've always believed the framework of TLP is an under-discipled on-ramp, one that is essential to helping people develop a rich (and orderly) prayer life. Do you feel like the AoG could use a more defined and intentional liturgy than we currently experience?

Rich and orderly are such great ways of putting it. And, yes, I think a defined and intentional liturgy would go a long way to breathing new and Spirit-filled life into our churches. So with you on that. Where are you currently ministering?

Totally. Right now I’m the high school pastor and one of the worship pastors at Canyon Hills AoG in Bakersfield, CA. Summer season begins. Pray for me. Lol.
